Commercial Use!

I'm selling at another store! Dana at Digital Scrap Designs has kindly asked me to sell my things at her store, and of course, I jumped at the chance. Hers is a commercial use and scrap for others (S4O) store; I am relishing the chance to dust off some of the actions and commercial use things that I have done to put up there! Dana has been wonderfully patient with me as I get used to yet another set of store software....I think I'm a real glutton for punishment! This is the third time in nearly as many months that I'm learning new software for uploading and making a store. It is so worth it! But each kind of software has its own peculiarities, and I need to get my mind wrapped around them. The one lesson I keep learning over and over again is.....DON'T try to do this late at night! You'd think I'd know that by now.....

Dana has a great group of designers selling there; you really need to go check Digital Scrap Designs out. I promise it will be worth your time. Lots and lots of commercial use items, great prices, collaborations....hey - don't take my word for it....go check it out!

Recipe Book Project

For the last month, I have been working with the charming images furnished by Cora Harkins of Digital Two for Tuesdays, a blog that furnishes the most charming vintage images. She asked for five artists to use images from an old (turn of the century cookbook) to make either a cookbook or a recipe box and section dividers. I was fortunate enough to be chosen to take part in the challenge. Following are the pages I made from just a few of the many images she provided. They were scanned and sent to us in black and white. The only thing she asked us to do was to provide a cover and eight dividers or classifications. The rest was left entirely up to us. What a dream of an assignment! Cora, thank you for the chance to play....I would love to play again....and soon!

I did all of these digitally, of course...since that is what I do....using Cora's images and a kit that I created a while back called "Heritage Recipes". It all just seemed to come together. If you are interested, these pages may be downloaded from here. They are done in 8x10" size for a binder, and also may be reduced by half for use in a recipe box.

The images from Cora are in the public domain and she assures me that there are no copyright issues attendant thereon. My kit may be found at Digital Design Den for sale. The cookbook pages are for personal use only, please. If you want to download these pages for your own use, use this link.
