That's exciting! I took a course in the Art of Digital Design from Jessica Sprague.com in August. It was a great course...and very comprehensive. Since I've been designing for several years, you might ask why I would take that particular course. Couple of reasons....first - because I never miss a chance to learn something new. Second, because I admire Jessica and know that her courses are always high quality. This one was no disappointment. I learned so much! And it was no give-away. We finished up the course and were required to complete an original kit and take a written test covering the material in the course. The kit was evaluated by Carina Gardner, a well-respected designer who also taught a part of the course. The test was proctored by an outside firm, so it was all very professionally handled.
The course ran for four full weeks and covered everything a new or even experienced designer needs to know...from what to design to how to apply to a store. I think that taking this course improved my workflow, gave me some new ideas, and helped me to improve my design business. Thanks, Jessica and Carina!

What it was....was football
I'm a very proud grandma. Why, you ask? Glad you asked that! I'm proud because my favorite (and, coincidentally...only) grandson got his photo in The Denver Post last week.....on the sports page. His dad, my son, emailed me the link to the article and photos. So...like any good grandma, I immediately shelled out way too much money to order reprints of the two photos in question to have for my very own. Of course, I can't show those photos here, because of copyright issues, something those of us in this digital world are pretty sensitive to. But what I can do is to show another photo of this extremely handsome lineman that I call grandson. This photo was taken by the lineman's dad, my son, at their most recent game. All I can say is......GO PONDO!
